Weekend Beach Getaways from Dubai: Top 7 Hotels in Fujairah & RAK Under AED 500

Whenever the week wears me down, I love escaping the city’s hum and heading toward the coast — just an hour or two from Dubai. Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) offer peaceful beach vibes, scenic views, and minimal travel time. Plus, they tend to be less crowded than Dubai’s beaches on weekends.

Since I know how busy life is here in the UAE, I always aim for places I can reach fast — and still feel like I’m on a proper getaway. These 7 hotels (all close by) check that box — while keeping within a budget of AED 500 (or very close). As you read, check your dates soon — especially because holidays like UAE National Day tend to raise prices, and many of these offers won’t last.

    Upcoming Holiday / Booking Urgency

Heads-up: UAE National Day (Dec 2–3, 2025) is coming up. Many people plan long weekends around this. If you see a stay you like, booking now often locks in better rates than waiting until the last minute. I’ve found that by the time the holiday draws near, demand spikes and what was once AED 400 might jump to AED 600+.

    What to Pack?

Here’s what I always throw into my bag for a beach escape. In another post, I’ll share a printable checklist so you don’t forget a thing:

    • Swimwear & rash guard

    • Quick-dry towel or microfiber towel

    • Sunscreen + after-sun gel

    • Flip-flops & light sandals

    • Sunglasses + wide hat / cap

    • Portable charger / power bank

    • Lightweight cover-up or sarong

    • Reusable water bottle

    • Waterproof pouch / dry bag for phone & camera

    From My Experience

    • When I drive out from Dubai early Friday morning, I try to avoid traffic by leaving before 7 a.m.

    • I always check free cancellation — if I see a better deal, I switch.

    • If I’m traveling with kids, I look for hotels with kids’ pools, beach shallow zones, and breakfasts included.

    • Even small upgrades (sea view, balcony) make a big difference for me — so I filter by “better view” when I can.

    • I like to plan one “luxury treat” (a sunset dinner or spa) to make the stay feel special without blowing budget.
